Four Teams control nearly half of the 2nd round picks in 2029 and 2030

hopefully we will have a contending team by then so we can supplement our stars with already developed players on cheap rookie deals
I watch the draft religiously, every year.
Many trades (as you all know) happen on draft night every year, as the draft is unfolding and playing out.
Do you folks know how many SRPs it takes to move up in the second round while the draft is actively going?
The price is your current SRP this year, plus two future SRPs.
The Nets have the currency to move up to those crucial first 5 picks of the second round (where FRP talent always drops and now you can have them for second round salary) every year if they wanted to.
There’s always an outside chance the draft and/or rosters expand. Maybe going into three rounds, more open roster spots. It’s possible. That would make second rounders even more valuable.
Not to mention, the new CBA makes it so much harder to keep your players. Almost penalizing you for drafting and developing well. In that instance, – a steady stream of cheap, young players are a must not just to build on, but to compete.
Second rounders are being overlooked.
Yeah, you could get a bench player but I think NIL is keeping more guys in school now. But maybe an upperclassman, more league ready.
I do think having all these FRPs if they revamp the lottery will definitely work to our advantage. It will make picks more valuable
