  1. Delauter out of the game at the start with an injury and Jose being ice cold is an easy recipe for us to barely string together a single run.

The conditions of the game tonight were piss-awful, too.

Whatever, rubber game tomorrow, hope it goes better.

  2. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

    *xrays are negative thank fuck*

~~Rhys had a double. Kwan had two walks. That’s it. Literally. Moving on.~~ Are you really gonna make me actually write a blurb in the ninth inning gods dammit THE BATS get 1 run off of 2 hits, 5 walks, and 2 HBP. Rhys⚡️ had a double and a walk, Rocchio🪨 had an RBI single, Kwan👑 had a pair of walks, and Manzo🥔 had a walk and scored our lone run.

Second start, much smoother. Bibee🅱️ ends his Dodgers outing with a final line of 4+IP, 4H, 1R, 2BB, and 4K on 74 pitches (48 strikes). If you’re not happy with that, especially after last week, nothing can be done to help your sanity.

    Break out the CHEESE! Allard🧀(2.2IP, 1R) and Festa🎉(1.1IP, 2R) combined to go 4IP, 6H, 3R, 1BB, and 7K. Yeah so. Moving on.

We got everybody’s rosters now, but the focus is still on the only team playing! Logan Allen2️⃣ debut strongly, with a line of 5IP, 1H, 1R, 1BB, and 5K on 79 (48 pitches). Behind him, Gaddis☠️(1IP), Mace(1IP), Codi Heuer(1IP), and Tanner Burns(1IP) had 4 scoreless innings. Meanwhile, NoJo⛰️ went 2/4 with a double, and Ingle📐 had a single and 2 RBI.

  3. I just don’t get why you wouldn’t ask for help there. Even if it just confirms your call, there’s no reason not to. It doesn’t cost anything, it takes no time. And it probably WAS the right call, but there’s absolutely no harm placating the batter by asking for help on the check. Just stupid.

Anyway, bats are dead. That sucked. Pitching was fine, even Festa. Not gonna win with one hit til the ninth.

  4. 1. I liked the Guardians battling back in the 9th inning
    2. Last game of March, bring on April
    3. Detroit blew a lead against Arizona and I will laugh at that

  5. Do you think Gavin Williams will have more or less walks compared to his last outing?

  6. This team has had the same problem for years and that’s absolutely ZERO hitting at bottom of the lineup and then bunch of nerds talking about how their defense makes up for it (it doesn’t)

  7. As I understand it, the pattern is a good win followed directly by a completely unwatchable loss. I would like for the guys to go off-script here in the near future

  8. very surprisingly i felt like we were in the game the whole time, would’ve been very interesting if we didn’t give up those runs in the 8th

  9. Hoskins is like “Wow, is it normal for 80% of this team to slump at the same time?”

  10. First time pulling the “get the tying run to the plate in the 9th in a game we have no business getting the tying run to the plate in the ninth” card this year

  11. Arias days are numbered
    Kayfus as well
Bo had a nice AB in the 9th

    Put Rocchio back at SS

  12. At least the Tigers got chase delautered (gave up 2 homers to rookie in his major league debut) by the dbacks and lost

  13. well tigers lost a 5-0 lead and we almost fought back against the dodgers. lets get the series tomorrow

  14. I don’t think it would have made a difference in the end result but it was exasperating how much every single minor thing that could be done to help the Dodgers went their way, whether it was the umpiring or the grounds crew. Having a 10 minute delay to dry the mound and have Shohei scrape mud out of his cleats and we just come back to Rhys taking a leverage at bat in a half inch of mud, and the batters boxes being dried out between innings.

  15. The Dolans don’t deserve to field a team against the Dodgers but we’re 1-1 against them so far.

The massive talent gap, the spending gap, the desire to actually win a championship. Might as well be playing 2 different sports.
