3. Of course the owner of the Vikings would say positive things about the #10 overall pick who they spent a lot of assets drafting, however everyone needs to have a REALITY CHECK! Almost nothing JJM has done in his short NFL career would indicate he has a bright future ahead of him! Despite his immaturity which was on full display, his production during 2/3 of the season was historically worse than other rookie QB’s on most metrics, and in the final 1/3 of the season his performance was only moderately competent despite playing some of the worst defenses in the NFL, and the Packers 3rd string players! Obviously, anything can happen, but right now his future success is not likely, and anyone who believes anything otherwise is a brainwashed fool! Patrick, all we heard from you and others prior to last season, was the same BS about how superior the coaching is, and the infrastructure, and the OL, and the skill players, etc, etc, and now you are saying the same thing again. Last I checked all of that existed last season, so evidently KOC blew it when he said this kid was ready, but he obviously wasn’t! The bottom line is the two morons running the team destroyed the best chance at making a run at a Super Bowl the Vikings have seen since Zimmer took the team to the NFC championship in 2017!

12. “Scampering around the pocket”, absolutely isn’t a recipe for long term success and you are showing your ignorance when you say that! KM’s style of play increases his risk of injury which has been a hallmark of KM’s game as well as other dual threat QB’s!
    Long term success is more likely when you have a QB, who can operate within the pocket, can go under center and work through his progressions in addition to running the ball when needed, like what SD was capable of doing.

14. Y, always a Y I can never bet on my Vikes not succeeding! The main reason I’ll never bet on sports. Honestly, I’m hoping this qb battle is what JJ needs to become a consistent starting qb. SKOL and go blue!!!!

15. If he beats out Murray in training camp amd starts this season, cool. It would mean that he was better. But if he sits this year and Kyler has a great year as a starter, there is no way that they let him walk for JJ. Lessons were leanred with letting Darnold and Jones go and I doubt they repeat that mistake by choosing JJ over signing Murray long term. So JJ is cooked unless he wins the jobs this offseason

17. I mean the way you guys covered Kyler basically gave me McCarthy is gone vibes. We really should've got a vet that would actually help JJ. I don't think Kyler is the guy. Styles are too different. But I like JJ. I would've rode with him this year starting regardless of wins losses. We gotta develop these young guys or what's the fuqing point of drafting guys? I would've rather Rogers end up here. I don't think Kyler has the IQ. Talent and athleticism yea obviously but Kyler relies on his talent. And when his wheels are down, he's down. Idk. Say the guy does get us to the playoffs. We give him a fat contract? Really? We drafted a kid to get out of kirks fat contract.

    Max Brosmer 3# Is still on the team and will not be going anywhere this head coach and organization really like him. And he is a future starting quarterback. If they put him on the practice squad. He will be gone in 5 minutes because there are a bunch of teams that would love to have him. As a starting quarterback… Because he is better than JJ McCarthy…..And then, there is…
    J.J McCarthy. He will be traded before or after the draft. Most probably for 3# or 4th round, pick because he has proved absolutely nothing. He was taken too high in the draft ….SKOL

30. Are we being delusional for content purposes? Mccarthy its not only terrible, but weak AF and constantly injured. He had jettas, Addison, Hockenson, Naylor, and Jones and couldn't perform. He will NEVER have better weapons… almost nobody ever sees that talent in a career.

33. I think with what McCarthy has shown so far its unrealistic to think JJ will ever be an elite QB. But I do think he could get to a middle tier level and still win a superbowl like darnold if the team he's on is built around the run and defense. Unfortunately, that's not going to be the Vikings.
