TL;DR:
Goodell stated that an investigation into Steve Tisch’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein has yet to find any violations of the league's Personal Conduct Policy. When asked by reporters whether there’s an update on the situation, and specifically whether the league has found cause to take action under the Personal Conduct Policy, he responded:

“There hasn’t been. As we said, we’re going to follow the facts. We have been doing that. We’ve been very focused on making sure we know everything that’s out there. We’ve engaged with others to make sure we have that information. As you know, the Tisch family also made some family changes. Steve, and John, and Laurie actually did some transactions as part of their estate planning and are no longer owners. But we have not found anything that’s a violation at this stage.”

While Tisch remains the Giants' chairman, he recently surrendered his ownership stake as part of a family estate planning transaction involving his siblings. This ownership change provides the league a convenient path toward inaction, raising further questions about a potential double standard in how the NFL disciplines owners compared to players.

  1. If you thought elite billionaire NFL team owners would punish one of their own for something they all most certainly engage in, you were being very hopeful.

  2. Roger Goodell is ruining the NFL, any chance I get to talk some shit about him I will.

  3. He is no longer part-owner, and you cannot drum up a case against a guy based on some emails. But the court of social media wants everyone executed without trial.

Obviously Tisch is sketchy as hell, but what do you want the league to do when he surrenders his ownership stake?

  4. There’s “F you money” and then there’s “F children without consequence money”

  5. So far we’ve seen nothing that says Tisch did anything illegal.
And since he’s divesting his ownership, there’s not a lot the league can do.

He’s a sleazy creep, but that’s not illegal.

I won’t personally spend any $ on Giants stuff as long as he’s part of the organization. If enough people take a stand, maybe the Giants will take further action.

  6. Unfortunately, I’m not shocked. The league is only interested in punishing the players.

  7. It was clear from the moment they did that whole financial stake transfer that it was the way they’d keep him involved while pretending like they took action.

  8. Cowards. Fucking cowards. Billionaires get away with literally whatever the hell they want

  9. No shit. How many other owners could be in there? Or have done the exact same? They ain’t doing shit about an owner getting his rocks off to a hooker.

  10. Im glad they arent taking it out on the team atleast… he should be banished though.

  11. If Tisch isn’t totally divorced from the Giants come preseason we gotta sponsor some planes over the stadium with some cherry picked gross lines between Tisch / Epstein

  12. Wow. So remember when the NFL didn’t care about wife beaters? Now they don’t care if chairmen have sex with trafficked “adult women.”

  13. He was being set up with russian models who he was assured were not “working girls” He was yet another powerful guy that got caught up with Epstein because Epstein had the women. Easy introductions that took no effort. Even billionaires can be thirsty creepers. They know that having a billion dollars makes you younger, more handsome, and gives you a giant, uh…little giant.
That said, It doesn’t make you a peodiphile or really any criminal at all.
Yes. Everyone that had relationships with Epstein should probably reexamine their own morals and life style. While it is a bad look for the Giants organization, Goodell is right.
