Rare when a European is so interested in American football.
Staton spot on saying that there's a huge drop in talent on day 3.
JS made a great 1st pick using R4 & R5 to get NFL's fastest KR/WR3 in Sha-speed. JS is already leading the draft race.
In fact, JS FA was quietly amazing, just like last yr. When he got D.Law & D.Thomas & Okada, Sundell & J Jones without much fanfare & look how that tirned out.
All fab 5 FA's played vital roles in the SB60 Victory charge.
49ers & LAR's & NFL's worst nightmare is the Dark-Side D of HC Mac = Chuck Noll 2.0.
Do you feel Iron Curtain 2.0 vibes?
The NFLs back in 1970's via some PNW Dark-Side Magic weaved by the helmet stacking MOB HAWK Wizards.
Sammy D = T.Bradshaw 2.0
Bears = 1970s Chiefs
Chiefs = 1970s Dolphins
LAR = 1970s Oakland ( McVey = Madden 2.0 )
Bills = 1970s Cowboys ( Josh = Staubach 2.0 )
49ers = 1970s Vikings ( Purdey = Yarkenton )
Pregnon and Coleman looking like a real good combo to hit in the first two days.
Myles Montgomery UCF sleeper running back perfect fit for Hawks 7th rd
Seahawks don't draft 25yo rookies..22 and 23yo max..
🙄All the fanboys here for Staton.
I think the succession plan for Kupp is already on the roster, and why they just signed him to an extension. Bobo can do everything Kupp is doing on the field these days, and maybe more. I think Bobo's even faster than Kupp at this point. Plus, he has more size. Obviously, you lose all the "Coach on the Field" stuff, but that's what we have so many coaches for. This WR group is set for 2026, but I see them draft one in 2027 with all the capital they have.
Mike Washington in the third or just sign a cheap veteran
Rob is amazing exactly right take on the rams
I just find it a lot of work to listen to, and try to decipher, what this posh pommy is saying. But props for SuperSonics hat.
Rob is overrated! 2025 draft blog DID NOT want Nick at any draft slot. wanted ARichardson but lucky Colts took him. ❤️ Will Levis , ❤️ Rattler and ❤️ Quin Ewers for Hawks in Rd 2. dude talks big but regurgitates info but hasn't nailed a draft for many years. wanted Penning as LT and another BUST. read his archives and you'll know he's a TOTAL 🤡. Hot air
ROB STATON WIT THE RAMS TAKE 🔥🗣️😤
Yay Rob!!
Bradford is your starting RG. Zero chance theh draft Pregnon or Dunker. I also don’t see them sticking at 32…
never ashoom. When you ashoom, you make a ash out of your shelf
Seahawks must UNDERSTAND Super Sam’s nature, he will let it rip. whether you like it or NOT. So they should improve their O-line and most importantly the target “the 2026 draft class’ most durable slot-receivers with least drops”
we know what happened to JSN during the Super bowl 60. after one hit — he ended up in the locker room.
Carnell Tate
Jordyn Tyson
Makai Lemon
KC Concepcion
the following are synergistic relationship that complements each other.
Slot receivers + Wide receivers + great O-Line and Super Sam + Running Back.
Read about Seahawks’ Shaun Alexander decline after departure of Left Guard Steve Hutchinson to Minnesota Vikings.
slot receivers and running backs help to control the game, but I think Seattle needs slot receivers more than running back. Any running backs will become elite automatically if they have Walter Jones (Left Tackle) and Steve Hutchinson (Left Guard) in O-Line.
and yes I agree, the Rams had a really great season last year, frustratingly for Seahawks fans, because they were able to keep pace with us and got three shots at us including the playoffs. But this is a whole new year, a lot of variables. And Seattle will get better. So we'll see. 👍🏻
Without the GM or Coach telling you their plans, draft predictions are pretty speculative…especially when you don’t pick until #32. If we were picking top 10 I would understand the intrigue, but not at this spot. Chris Carson was a 6th rounder if I remember.
Those games against the Rams were some of the best games I've ever seen though. Much like the 49ers rivalry during the lob years. True battles.
A question rarely discussed regarding this draft is, do we have so many holes that we need more than 4 picks? Would 3 of a normal year with 7+ even make the team?
Great analysis as always, Rob!
Not a thin RB draft at all. what a stupid analyst. love, price , washington, singleton, allen, hemby are all strong RB's . The rest are like walker, holani, you know, average
Rob is very knowledgeable. Glad you have him on. Love his insight
Why are people weirdly in love with Rob…
"Thanks Rob! Worst part about all this draft talk is it gets me hyped for the picks, but we've still got a month to go."
OG, CB, RB, Edge
Those are the needs, not wants.
Kaelon Black in 5th round or Coleman in 4th maybe.
Don't forget they drafted Cabledue as well who didn't play
Absolutely love Rob’s insights and his level-headed takes!
RB #1 is a glaring need with K9 gone and Charb out with injury. We have a bunch of #3 RB’s on the roster. Seahawks need Price at #32 and don’t gamble trading back hoping to get him later and getting an extra pick. The Seahawks offense is built on the run and they will suffer if they don’t get a top RB (Price) on the roster.
We need Rob more often!
So good. Can’t ask for a better guest to talk about the draft
All I needed to see was Jardarian Price explosive highlights. As close as we can get to what K9 gave us. Defences can load up the box against the people we have but if they do that against Price and he gets outside look out.
Jeff Caldwell 😁 Big body receiver
Not every x ball player is a good radio host or media pundit imo 🤔
7 picks? Are you out of your mind or high ??
I'd posit the Rams have as many 2026 questions as anybody. Stafford will be 38.5yo when the season starts, Puka has all kinds of baggage, Davante Adams has been temperamental and just found out the Rams tried to trade him, their Special Teams still are bad and their DBs have been assembled like a fantasy roster.
Rob is the best. His Seahawks Draft Blog is a wonderful community. Always appreciate his appearances here.
Having Rob Staton is my favorite part of this station.
Get Mike Washington Jr..
I love how many Husky players Rob seems to like.
I would love to see Coleman as a Hawk.
Hey Rob, any thoughts on DII 6'2" 220lb RB Curtis Allen from Virginia Union at pick #188? Allen won the Deacon Jones award for the best player in Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the 2025-'26 season and is the first HBCU player ever to win the Harlon Hill trophy which is the DII version of the Heisman trophy. His record setting stats from last season: 297 attempts for 2,409 yards, 8.1 ypc, and 30 touchdowns. HBCU's have famously contributed 35 NFL Hall Of Fame players like the aforementioned DE Deacon Jones, RB Walter Payton, and WR Jerry Rice. Allen took part in the HBCU IPP Showcase at the Commanders practice facility that wrapped up Monday with field drills, but I have not seen any results posted yet. Your fellow countryman Mississippi State TE Seydou Traore also took part as an IPP player who is draft eligible.
