ESPN Kansas City Chiefs seven round mock draft: ESPN’s Matt Miller has released a full seven round 2026 NFL Mock Draft. He covers all 257 selections, with Kansas City holding nine of those. Matt Miller’s mock has the Kansas City Chiefs going with Miami Hurricanes edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. Kansas City owns two first round selections this season, due to their trade of Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams. With 29, the Chiefs selected Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell, somewhat addressing their needs in the secondary. ‘Chiefs Report’ host Jackson Durham breaks down all nine selections for the Chiefs in this Kansas City Chiefs NFL Draft video.

ESPN’s Matt Miller on Bain to the Chiefs:
“The Chiefs are used to contending for Super Bowls, but they have a lot of needs at premium positions. The pass rush struggled, with only 35 sacks last season and Kansas City has done little to upgrade the outside pass rush this offseason. Bain would immediately start opposite George Karlaftis and has the inside/outside alignment versatility that Steve Spagnuolo has typically preferred. With 71 pressures and 9.5 sacks in 2025, Bain has the strength, speed and production to make teams overlook his sub-standard 30⅞-inch arm length.”

ESPN’s Matt Miller on Avieon Terrell’s fit with the Chiefs:
“The Chiefs have a history of drafting and developing cornerbacks, just to watch them leave. This offseason, Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson departed for the Rams via trade and free agency, respectively. The McDuffie deal got Kansas City this pick, which it could use on Terrell. The younger brother of Falcons’ cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. is similar to McDuffie in his ability to play inside or outside. Avieon Terrell had three interceptions at Clemson while allowing only 4.4 yards per attempt when targeted by opposing quarterbacks.”

  14. Matt Miller will never be a general manager cause he doesn’t recognize talent I grade him a D only because pick 9 Rueben Bain is the only one he got right. My chiefs 7 round mock draft is way better than his.

  22. FM is the new gen Ryan Leaf meltdown, more than JaMarcus, and Manziel. If LV had balls like KC, that 1st pick, could be 3 or 4. NE got GOAT at low LEVEL. This team, for whatever, reason, is, MOVING, in 5 years. We get 1 more, in next 2 years. Most possible adjustments are happening. Def is the key, but if Pat, can semi pocket pass, ill take 3 fgs and 2 tds all day, and 1 rush per game, when the def does what it can do.

  24. Germie Bernard… everytime either everyone loves him or doesn't like him at all like outside top 8 to 10 wrs i see. I dont like him i think he looks like a wr 3. Like 3rd rd like draft over all.

  29. If Terrell’s “injury” news causes him to slide to our pick 40 taking him there. Id be stoked because then you free up pick 29 for a potential trade up or BPA pick up 🤷

  33. After so many first and second busts the Chiefs have had, my expectations are low. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
