  1. Trading all cam smith for the rental will be a disaster considering that morel 2.0 super utility guy matt shaw is playing a suprise postion. Also why is conforto here. I can go up there and watch fastball cruise by me for a fraction of cost.

  2. There was over a 50 degree drop in temperatures from the day prior. Yeah they are gonna be stiff and look half dead.
The people in these comments are miserable, its depressing and sad they seem like their life is over after 5 games in 160 plus game season.

People need to grow up, its fine to be frustrated about the first series, I am, but my god the fans didnt want to be in the stands this game an people acting like it was 72 again, like get a grip people.

  3. You need not look any farther than the joke of right field for the Cubs to see the status of this team! You've got a backup utility infielder in Shaw who continues to nurse that 220 some average from last year into this year who's botched some plays already and Conforto who appears to be washed up! These two are the best we have?? 😂😂. We brought up Caissie last year to just sit on the bench then trade him, We never replaced the bat that Tucker was suppose to be! We end up with Shaw and Conforto in right because Suzuki got hurt! 😮 This is supposed to be a solid contender team?? 😮

  4. This Cub team could of started 20-0 and nobody would give the manager any credit, but God forbid we start 2-3 and it's all the mangers' fault lol ridiculous people grow up.

  5. No way I would've extended Nico for that $ and Pete Crow Armstrong needed to show me a full season of offensive production before I would've offered that kind of deal. Bad moves by Jed

  6. Does anyone else realize that the cubs love to get former Astros? Neris, Presley, Tucker and now Bregman. I just hope Bregman dos Bette than the other three did for them.

  7. There is no excuse for this team coming out of the gate in a malaise. It’s not a small thing. At least in some part, the responsibility falls on the field manager. The front office did its job…for once. Suzuki doesn’t matter. This is mental.
Unless it is addressed, it will last. A team competing to reach “the final four” should be able to manufacture a few runs against a really good pitcher. If they can’t now, they won’t in the playoffs—-if they even make it.

  8. I have to turn all game notifications off. I watch in the mlb app because I’m in California but I remember getting notifications a couple pitches before on my phone and it would ruin the moment

  9. This is a team built on desperately trying to hit solo homers, at all costs, no matter the conditions. It's been this way for years. It must be organizational. They NEVER consider the conditions and adapt their approach. They constantly hit flouts to the outfield. This is not a good team. Everyone was thinking they made the DS last year so the must again. Everyone forgets their success last year is when they were getting career performances to start the season, but we saw the real team after the all star break…and its NOT good!

  10. The start of the season has been very frustrating. I actually think the Cubs have had quite a big advantage in these games because the conditions have been rough, and Cubs defenders are much more used to playing defense with Wrigley wind. This team should be built to win games with the wind blowing in and that's not happening.
