Why Ty Simpson fits perfectly in Cardinals HC Mike LaFleur’s system in 2026

Fuck. I just need this draft to happen quickly, so I don’t lose my mind with this kinda stuff.
Ty Simpon has been referred to by analysts (as a compliment I should clarify) as Baker Mayfield with out the arm strength. That’s viewed as Ty’s ceiling, no guarentee he ever reaches that. Mayfield is a solid starter in this league, but he’s kind of like the new Dalton Line, he’s the bare minimum of what you need from your QB position. A guy whose comparison is the Mayfield Line, but a little worse, doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in me regardless of his system fit. At that point lets just wait for Mac Jones to become available next offseason.

Just want to point something out for anyone who’s worried about the Cardinals taking him 3rd overall.. the Cards are the betting favorite to draft Simpson, but Simpson is a long shot to be drafted 3rd. Here’s the current odds, and Vegas is always on top of this stuff.
