  1. He’s still playing for the Phantoms though, right? That doesn’t mean he’s getting called up I’m assuming?

  2. Good signing. I think he’s going to be a valuable high reward project piece for the team.

  3. Two way contract? RFA or UFA at the end of it?

    Ideally two way and RFA.

  4. Starting next season he’s no longer waiver exempt so it was pretty clear that he was going to get every opportunity to succeed in the NHL next season. This confirms it, pretty excited to see how this goes. The upside is there.

  5. Somebody is moving this summer. Have 6D returning + Bonk, McDonald will be pushing. Now Jiricek is almost a lock because he can’t be waived without losing him.

  6. He still has a lot of work to do in his own end but we desperately need a power play QB who can move the puck and his feet.

  7. Do they still do 1 way /2 way contracts? And yes I know it’s just about the pay, not ahl/nhl

  8. This could low key be a defining move in the future. Jiricek is still extremely young for a dman and they tend to take much longer to develop. Danny is slowly amassing former top 10 picks to this roster. I love it.

If he hits he could be anything from our long needed 1D answer to a Shane goatisbehere type of offensive first pp specialist. I wanted this guy SO bad during his draft year prep. (Had to settle for some jerk named William Gauthier) and while I know he hasn’t blossomed yet that potential is right there beneath the surface
