One Point Back. Do You Believe?

What seemed impossible just a few weeks ago is quickly becoming a real possibility.

The Winnipeg Jets have cleared every hurdle in front of them, and while the odds are still stacked, they’ve put themselves right back in the mix.

With eight games remaining, and coming off a 4-3 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night, Winnipeg now sits just one point behind the Nashville Predators for a spot in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Now, let’s be fair — it’s still a tall task. But the Jets have handled their own business, and with the teams ahead of them stumbling, they’ve clawed their way back into the race.

You can feel the belief building in Winnipeg, with the group fully embracing a “why not us?” mindset.

Cam and Jim open the phone and text lines with a simple question: do you believe?

  1. I'm with Cam – i have my hand firmly up in the air! I have string burn from the yo-yo of emotions and where my support has been (ethical tank vs playoffs). I am going to HATE when we end up in the mushy middle and finish 1 or 2 points out.

  2. Why would Neidereitter or Namestnikov deserve a spot on this roster way guys have been playing?

Also the better we do the lower in draft we can pick. If we are picking outside top 7 we should consider trading the pick in a deal for a KentJohnson/ShaneWright/Hayton/Mercer.
At that point your getting out of higher chance guys like Malhotra/Carels and looking at Rudolph/Bjorck/Lin I just feel finally fixing 2C if its all you do is enough. Maybe throw in Neidereitter/Chibrikov/Namestnikov/Lambert.

    Connor Scheifele Iafallo
    Perfetti Johnson Villardi
    Barron Lowry Lambert
    Rosen Toews Zhilkin
    Chibrikov-has 1 way deal

    Morrissey Salmonsson
    Samberg Pionk
    Freijs Demelo
    Fluery

  3. Well we didn't completely fall apart after the last 4 games, yay us where was this is November or December sure would have been more useful then but anyway No i don't believe the reason is because how long can they keep this up and the way they play 1 loss turns into 9 and they are out and most of the teams we play next till then end of the season we lost by 2 or more goals so theres that I still beleve it should be a fire sale where everything must go but they decied to start winning at the ass end of the season losing us a top pick so lets go for a cup and we can tank next year for a pick
