CJ traditionally hasn’t been a great defender. Do we know what changed?
I rmr gettin flamed on this sub for telling people to give it some time LOL and now that he’s settles in and playing his role perfectly for the team everyone is back on the bandwagon
It’s crazy because CJ has had surprisingly few heater type games and he’s still been this much of a net +. If he was going nuclear, putting up like 23 a game on 50/45/90 over a 20 game stretch or whatever it’d make sense but his shot making has been pretty inefficient. Doesn’t matter
Trae was a great individual player but he isn’t a system player YET.. the ball stuck to his hands and I think he was to stuck in his ways and couldn’t really figure out how to fit in a offense where he isn’t the main guy … cj played years with dame so this roll fit him perfect he knows how to create enough room for his self to get into rhythm and still keep the ball flying around as well along with the vet wisdom he has he ain’t right o he superstar he’s trying to win same with naw .. I have never seen hawks play team ball like this .. even on our long win streak years ago we were deep had a bench etc but the ball wasn’t flying around like this gotta give Quinn credit just as much as I was giving him hell 😭
Blazer fans have been waiting for him to be in a situation like this. He dragged the pels to the playoffs one year, but then they waisted him. He’s a top 3 non-all star all time, can’t wait to see him ball in the post season
CJ has always been a bucket. Trading induction for Zach’s is a good uplift for the offense. CJ is the mold for what the hawks need long term in this years draft. Get Peterson or Wagler and we are cooking with fish grease!
Portland fan here coming in peace! A while back when this trade was fresh I saw a lot of “CJ has high jacked the offense” stuff going around in this page. Has the sentiment changed? We loved CJ always and forever and I hope the general sentiment is positive

I have been trying to keep me expectations low but if we are the 4/5 seed I am optimistic on our chances of returning to the conference finals
