  1. If you want to win superbowls, you cant be greedy on your contracts, you need the rest of your team to be paid too. otherwise you'll never see a damn superbowl.

  2. Caleb Williams has a four year $40 million contract to give me an extension before that fourth-year runs out is a mistake which wouldn't be unusual for the Bears management. Long as he's on that rookie contract the Bears can build up the team around him as soon as they paying big money that goes out the window and as we know the McCaskeys don't really have any money anyways so keep them on the contract as long as you can.

  3. Caleb, if he balls TF out this year will command a premium price. This means getting to the playoffs – and winning at least one game again. Structuring the cap will be the key here, but that bill WILL come due eventually and big cuts will hit. Bottom line though, this is what teams have to do to win ball games.

  4. There’s no question Caleb is the guy and there’s no debate imo sure he has things to work on but with Ben Johnson as his coach weapons galore great o line I can’t see how he’s not an MVP candidate next year I truly believe that the throws he made the progress he had year 3 is the leap year for QBs meaning they usually take their biggest jump in year 3

  5. Bears need make sure to get Williams signed for the long haul. However, someone needs to remind him that Michael Jordan was never highest paid player in the NBA. Jordan knew the organization needed some $$$ for the talent around him, so they could win. Every QB that has "reset" the market at the position are having difficulties winning, as they can't keep good talent around them. I'm not saying Caleb shouldn't get paid. I'd just like for him to realize he can still make more a year than everyone else on the team, and help keep other high skilled players on his team. (and make a ton of money on endorsements as one of the best in the league.)

  6. Not because I think a QB should, but could one actually take less money in order to bring in more talent? Especially one like Williams who will basically own the city of Chicago and any advertising deal he’d like on the side. Again he shouldn’t have to but if he wanted desperately multiple championships…

  7. Harrison — that rug of yours ain’t lookin’ half bad, but there’s a patch of bare dome peekin’ through. Let’s square that away. Yank that piece off, give the ol’ bean a clean shave, slap on that fancy Euro glue we jawed about, and set the lid back on straight as a railroad track.
