Dallas Cowboys rumors: The Cowboys keep hinting they’re trying to trade for a linebacker! The “big 3” of Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones & Brian Schottenheimer have all said something along the lines of Dallas is looking at trade options. Cowboys Report host Tom Downey has the latest on some Cowboys trade targets at LB and when a deal could happen.

Cowboys news from Stephen Jones and Brian Schottenheimer have hinted a deal for a LB. Now, Jerry Jones says they’ve been outright trying: “We’re looking to improve there, personnel-wise. And are continuing to do so right now before the draft as well as the potential in the draft. We want to get better there with personnel. We’ve been trying very much to make some trades. They haven’t worked out for us there. But that won’t deter us from getting better there.”

ESPN’s Todd Archer has mentioned these 3 trade targets: Patrick Queen (Steelers), Jordyn Brooks (Dolphins) and Azeez Al-Shaair (Texans). Brooks is the most logical and he remains a top Cowboys trade target to monitor.

  13. What if at 12 Bain there and 20 messidor would think about drafting both Dallas could have book end of the cans . They were really well off each other and when the last time the Dallas Cowboys won a Super Bowl we had a bunch of hurricanes on there and they haven’t dropped many hurricanes since just saying am I perfect if you can get both of them and scott , Daniels

  16. There's 5 top players in the draft for us, all defense and a couple of NSS offensive players too. So a target of 7. We're at 12. I cannot believe we don't get greatness at both spots.
    Every year, somebody waaaay overreaches, a mini run on a position starts early and, also players not in our 7 are definitely going too. So Blue chippers plunge, every year. Ask Rogers or Brady. Ask ceedee, Dez, or Revel after this season, …
    That 7 doesn't include the 2 best defensive players because at our position there's little chance we sniff them: Bailey and Reese, 2 locks IF THERE.
    So at 12 leaves 11 players, minus our needs of 7, leaves 4 empty picks. Minus the taking of Reese and Bailey, 2. Minus QB at 1 overall. One. We're literally sweating 1 spot, drafts being wild and no way everyone values the same, so I'm confident in 12 and 20 being solid. Nobody now are picking what we'll actually be getting, watch. I could easily see us with Bain and Styles for example.
    Dallas is good at deep draft evaluation historically, too. Romo and Dak weren't on anybody's radars at all. Larry Allen was a mid second rounder.
    Then there's post draft trades. After the draft last year, we added Clark, Williams, Clowney, and Pickens.
    Hopefully, statistically you gotta hit at least once, we're adding a healthy Revel, Bland, Ezeiruaku, Guyton, and Overshown.
    The best is that we removed the rot from last year's defense, the so-called coach.
    I like our team's chances.
