Rumor also say that the stadium will host 90,000 plus spectators, and this is almost six times more than what they invested in stadium renovations in 2016-18 ($160M).
Sadly, I have never been to Raymond James Stadium. Those who have been there, what do you think about this move? Do you want to upgrade the home venue without damaging its original beauty or looking for a complete rehaul?

If they take away the pirate ship, I will burn the whole place to the ground.
I’ve been to many games there and it’s really nice fun stadium as far as visuals and layout. My issue is the heat. When I was younger it wasn’t as much of an issue I would go regardless. 54yo, I’m not melting for four or five hours to tailgate and watch a game. So hopefully they install some sun shade and maybe misters. It’s almost 30 years old so I say it’s due.
Please dear god give us some shade. I felt like I was going to die at the Packers game in 2022.
It better be covered or at least create some sort of hospitable environment. The heat is brutal for most home games even late into the season. Not sure why they would increase capacity to 90k, they can barely fill the stadium as is with ~70k seats.
Don’t like the idea of being stuck in Orlando for a season like the Jags are about to do.
Can we plan a removal of Todd Bowles? I’d support that
They need better food concourses but other than that I have no real complaints about the stadium.
2nd pirate ship
Bucs clearly trying to get convos going with the TSA before the Rays take up all of the money lol
Bucs need to pay for the vast majority of this though especially if there are no proposed public realm improvements
Lmao at all the pussies asking for shade. If you want to be cool go to the movie theatre or mall. This is sports, it’s supposed to have weather

Our stadium is alright, but frankly better suited for a CFB program (imo ofc). So, i think renovations are warranted, I wouldn’t say for *that* price, but hey Im not complaining either way
Couldn’t you just build a whole new stadium for that much?
Put pirate ship sails all over to provide shade and mister fans everywhere.
If one dollar of public money is spent on that stadium then the Glazers should not get any revenue from anything other than their game.
Would love to see some money put into the facilities for the players. That player survey that was recently released kinda bummed me out
Moveable field and heavily tinted open glass canopy that goes above the lights would be bad ass. Pretty sure the jags are doing this. A massive renovation like that would require a year or 2 at the old orange bowl.
A billion dollars better buy us a cool roof retrofit
Only go to night games or late season games in December, January. Too hot otherwise

Do what Miami did. That stadium is night and day different on heat and sun exposure.
Renovations are needed. At least shade where the fans sit also
The closest I ever got to death I was 20 beers deep melting on the visitors side for a 1pm game
Prices will also increase, food, drinks, parking, etc etc we pay they profit
If you have visited some of the newer stadiums across the league they blow Ray Jay out of the water. It definitely feels a little bit dated and could use a facelift along with some shade built into it to protect the fans from those 1pm games
Shade please. I left with second degree burns last year.
