This Looks Really Bad For The Boston Red Sox

Six games into the 2026 season and the Boston Red Sox are already in full crisis mode. The Boston Red Sox are 1-5. Roman Anthony is striking out looking. Caleb Durbin is 0-for-14. Carlos Narvaez just got benched for mysterious reasons. The rotation that was supposed to carry this team has already cracked. And Jarren Duran — one of their best players — is stuck at DH because of a front office decision nobody can defend. So why does this already feel like a problem Boston can’t fix?

  2. I agree with almost everything said in the video except Duran is not the best outfielder the Sox have no way in hell he’s better than Abreu (2 time gold glover) or Rafaela (a guy that should’ve won the platinum glove last year) and than there’s Anthony the face of the franchise dude doesn’t have a place on this team and he’s not as good as ppl make him out to be there’s a reason he hasn’t been traded yet his value isn’t as high as fans like to think. Sox should’ve traded him 2 years ago and capitalized on his value then.

  3. Duran the best outfielder on the team? Love Duran but he isn't the best outfielder Ceddane and Wilyer got something to say about that.

  4. Absolutely poopin they're pantaloons. And the tickets to the games at fenway are still expensive as shit. Awful time to be a sox fan. Marcello is my boy tho. Gonna be a stud

  5. This is what happens when you dont spend money for good players. This is what happens when you dont address your offseason needs. They needed to address 4 things this offseason, 1. Defense, 2. More contact less K's, 3. Right handed power bat, and 4. A legit 2 behind Croxhet.

They literally did absolutely none of those things 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, and are charging more for tickets. Screw this ownership and upper management.

  6. REALISTIC CHANGES I WOULD MAKE:

    1) Thursday morning, the brass calls Cora into their office and dismiss him as manager of the Boston Redsox. These constant poor starts that put the team behind the 8-ball is compromising their investment and is no longer considered 'coincidental'.

2 )Hire Tek as interim manager, thus beginning an arduous search for a more permanent replacement. Tek is highly respected by all in the clubhouse and organization.

If anybody can quickly restore a sense of ''team'', he can.

    3) Switch Story to 2nd base on the days Mayer plays, moving him to his natural position: SS. Also, remove Story from his 2nd slot in the daily lineup. He is known for driving in runs, and this is not the place to steadily accomplish this feat.

    4) Roll the dice against RH pitching (that has the pedigree to go at least 5-6 innings) and line up 3 straight LH hitters at the beginning of the order. For example, Duran, Yoshi, Anthony, followed by Contrares, Abreau, Story with Mayer, catcher, and Durbin. This idea of a left/right/left/right etc. lineup isn't cutting it, because it usually ends up with two out and a man on – making it difficult to be successful w/risp.

In the final 3rd of the game, Tek has Cedanne to PHfor Yoshi vs. LH relievers.

VS. southpaw starting pitching, deploy the same approach using RH hitters lining up together.

    5) A team meeting as soon nas Tek is hired, led by Tek, preaching pass-the-torch t e a m play.

    6) Put ANY INEFFECTIVE MIDDLE RELIEVER on a short leash.

In addition, incorporate an organization approach that would allow the farm system to develop relievers, NOT FAILED STARTERS who become relievers.

This way, a power pitcher needs only two main pitches and a 3rd 'show' pitch. Not having to perfect 4 pitches will hasten their journey to the parent club.

Do you know the last two stud relievers the farm has produced???

Andrew Miller & Papelbon, both who were starters in the minors.

Craig Kimbrel is a prime example of training a pitcher from the lowest level to close, set up, etc.

  7. I never believed Boston would be contenders this year. Too thin with the everyday players. And pitching in this league is inherently hit or miss. Plus they pissed off the baseball gods with their trades and lack of resigning players over the last half decade. Let the new curse begin.

  8. I think the offense will be ok, but the pitching rotation is what scares the hell out of me. This season and the future could genuinely be an absolute disaster!! John Henry needs to sell this team he is using it as an ATM for his other endeavors!! It won’t change until we stop buying tickets!!

  9. Well yes it’s over, it’s been over since the team traded Mookie Betts, Ownership has been trying to run the team like a lower to mid market team and are failing to do even that. Ownership will refuse to resign and sigh to level free agents , it’s just a nightmare

  10. Boston doesn’t spend like they used to, the last big contract they gave to a free agent that I remember hearing about offensively was story and I knew it was bad bc he only hit hrs consistently in Colorado. They are relying heavily on the young talent and it’s biting them

  11. 6 games of 162 and you’re making videos like this. Tuffy Rhodes hit three home runs on opening day so he’s going to break bonds record, right?

You should be banned from talking about baseball.
