Montana tossing those dimes
π. That hit to the knee scared the shit out of me
That’s the first NFL game I ever watched. 10 years old and I fell in love with Joe Montana and the 49ers.
My dad wouldn’t put football on his TV so I watched it on one of those small TVs you tune in like a radio dial. Sat at the kitchen table on a 6″ black and white.
Apparently he wasn’t bad
Not only the best WR⦠best ATHLETE.
He was absolutely unstoppable in his prime. I can only imagine what his stats would look like in the modern, 17-game season where flags are thrown on any DB who gives a WR a mean look.

The fact that the corners but not Jerry Rice were tired by the end of the game…
453 – 229 yards and we still needed THAT drive to win it 20-16 π
Now hereβs a guyβ¦
Before sticky plastic gloves were being worn.
Rice in Super Bowls was elite. Played great when the lights were at their brightest.
