The make-or-break for these is going to be the pants for me. I just really hope they’re not red. I feel that baseball pants should either be white, grey, powder blue, and I can kind of get with black or really dark colors like navy or hunter green.
A lot of the new monochrome unis like the Orioles all-orange alt or the first Dodgers CC that was head to toe blue are really ugly to me. Both of those unis are significantly better with white pants.
Ideally for me, the new Reds CCs have white pants in the style of the previous CC and, if they really want to get crazy, they can wear the black cap & pants for Saturday night games.
If they do end up having Red pants, I’ll get over it because we’re the Reds after all so it makes sense but I’m just hoping that’s not the case.
They should switch every inning to really throw people off
Fuck this. I hate the direction this team is going uniform wise.
This idea is beyond terrible. We have one of the most iconic brands in all of professional sports and now we’re wearing knock off uniforms on the two most popular days of the calendar. A century of branding thrown out the window. I just hope these uniforms aren’t a colossal eyesore that looks good in a shop window but god awful on a baseball field.

I hate that MLB is turning into NBA with a million alts. The NFL really nails this; you will turn on the TV and instantly know who is who.
