The Biggest Mistake the Pelicans Can Make This Offseason
April 3, 2026
The Pelicans organization is nearing decision time on interim HC James Borrego. I believe it would be a major mistake to dismiss his body of work this season, and an even bigger one based on who the front office likely has its eye on…

Id say the biggest mistake they could make is screwing up their first round pick.
Luckily, they’ve already done that
I promise you this. I’ve been a fan for a LONG time. If they hire Darvin Ham I’m gonna take a break from being a fan for HOURS at least. Maybe weeks.
They need to hire the best and spend that money renovations to the blender u need a winning product
His body of work. The dude is terrible and doesn’t coach defense. His line ups are all over the place and he lets everyone on the team have the green light. You can’t win like that.
Maybe they want to save money so bad we can convince them to can Dumars and Weavers and do a twitch plays GM situation. Surely we can’t be worse than them.
Give us thibs!!!
I wonder what the optimists are going to say when Gayle moves on from Borrego and goes cheap on the next hire
Oh we can (and likely will) make far bigger mistakes than this, you just wait
