Wild stat i queried on bbref: The Sixers are 111-26(!) when Embiid posts at LEAST 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
I know it’s not that black and white, stats require context, yada yada but I think with this specific roster, when it calls for it, it makes more sense for Embiid to play this kind of way. Especially if his shot isn’t going down.
We all need this humble Embiid being contented on defending and rebounding instead of exhausting his energy on offense. We have other capable players to sort that out.
Yea tbh I don’t want embiid making too many decisions on offense in the playoffs, seen it for a decade and it’s not cute. If he focus on being mutombo then we have a better chance.
Are we thinking Embiid will play today?
I know everyone wants to take shots at Daryl for good reason. Especially these last two seasons.
But frankly I’m tired of the Embiid decides if he’s going to play when he shows up to the arena and no one knows. Which is what they basically admitted was happening in the long article during the off season.
It’s a regular season game against the wizards, 10 days before the playoffs. We won by 25 points. I don’t understand why Embiid wants to turn this into an issue. Honestly I don’t think he ever needs to play against the wizards given his knees.
No one is going to hold you out come playoff time Joel. The entire city will be fucking hoping to any all things that you finish a playoff series healthy without breaking your face or getting a facial palsy or hurting your knee or any of the o the freak shit that seems to always happen. I will be sending my vibes with everyone else.
This team just refuses to be fucking normal for even a week.
Joel should know better than to cause a distraction for the team right before the playoffs.
