The Los Angeles Lakers’ Season is OVER

The Los Angeles Lakers have turned around their season in a big way and have been playing great basketball with the NBA Playoffs right around the corner. But, unfortunately Luka Doncic has suffered a grade two hamstring strain against the Oklahoma City Thunder which will keep him out the rest of the NBA regular season and likely for the first round of the NBA Playoffs. It’s a devastating blow that puts a lot of pressure on LeBron James and Austin Reaves and likely ends all chances of making a run

  1. When he comes back, he’ll be at 70% for the whole season it’s like the Warriors last year with Steph Curry during the playoffs hamstring

  2. The LAKERS ARE GOING TO SURPRISE YOU AND WIN THE 🏀 PLAYOFFS!!! LUKA & ALL LAKERS will be wearing CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS!!! IT WILL BE LEBRON’S 5TH & LUKA’s 1ST OF MANY!!! TOGETHER THIS TEAM IS UNSTOPPABLE

  3. They should just shut him down for the year and prep for the offseason when they can really build their team around him. This current roster wasn't good enough for a title run without major injuries to both SA and OKC anyway.

  4. It’s annoying because you and everyone knows the Lakers not winning even with Luka. That’s why OKC blew them out so bad. As the defending champs they’re tired of getting disrespected by casuals who talk about the Lakers all day.

  5. I think they still have a shot vs the rockets I think if AR plays like a all state LeBron James steps up Marcus smart makes big play deffence and the bench goes off I think they could beat the rockets in 7 games

  6. If smart comes back and brings defense they can get out of round 1. You saying they are bad defensively is a bit misleading because in march they were the 8th best defense and a lot of that was without smart who is the best player plus minus on the lakers.

  7. I keep hearing people say “You can’t ask a 41 year old LeBron to step up in Luka’s absence.” If that’s the case then he needs to be gone. If we can’t count on him then what’s the point?

  8. I honestly don’t think it’s that serious. I feel like he’s just resting and will be back in the playoffs. I still don’t believe this is over.

  9. yeah, build the team around someone who cant stop eating and gaining weight. He looks a bit heavier than the slim luka who came in at the start.
Luka will constantly have these injuries and will be Zion-lite 🤣

  10. Priority 1 is Luka's health. I would not rush him back at all and not let him play again until he's 100% have him good to go for opening night next season.

2nd the Lakers had a solid season and an incredible march. Luka was insane an mvp worthy season and no doubt first team all NBA year. That said this lakers roster had far to many flaws and as seen vs okc they just weren't gonna compete with them this year with this roster. Gotta prioritize putting together a roster that fits, has depth and has a lot of players who can defend but can also shoot/ be postive on offense. Think guys like Grimes, Ellis, Dosunmu, Oubre Jr, etc. Ideally they grab a few players like that. They draft a defensive minded center in first round of draft. Then they try to either pry away peyton watson from Denver or Eason from Houston as starting 3 and player in restricted free agency. Assuming they cant get them they use the remaining 2 firsts to add a legit starting 3 and d player and then they go into next season with or without Lebron back as ideally a top 10 defensive team and between Luka and AR a top 10 offense. That's the path to winning a championship. Obviously health has to go there way. The rookie they draft needs to hit. They need to fill the roster and all of those are easier said than done not to mention okc and san antonio will still exist but i believe a roster like that will have a significant better shot at competing with those teams. Cause this roster has no shot. As good as Luka, AR and Bron have been/ could be. The other 6 or 7 guys have to make a impact and they just dont have that with this current roster.

  11. He did beat ur Thunder in a 7-game series while injured with SGA being older than Luka and more in his prime than Luka, but yeah, shouldn't risk his health in a wasted "DominAyton" year.

  12. They have OKC and a bunch of tanking teams LeBron and Reaves will take care of business yall remember last year March LeBron was the player of the month and went to top 5 in mvp

  13. Jalen Green dealt with his hamstring injury most of the season and even when we was cleared to play, he would reaggravate it and miss more time.
