[Charania] After consultation with Lakers doctors and his own medical team, Luka Doncic will seek specialized medical treatment in Europe on his Grade 2 left hamstring in an attempt to expedite his return to play, agent Bill Duffy of WME Basketball tells me and @mcten.

Going to the dirk of hamstring docs
Have we found the LeBron of Hamstrings? šš¾š

Ah learned from his pal Lebron. Germany here we come
Heās headed to Germany, whatever treatment they got over there is a different beast
Holy shit, Itās time! Praying for an extra good recovery for Luka the Don
SUPER SOLDIER SERUM HOLY SHIT šš½šš½
Probably going home early to try and figure things out with his family. I really doubt he comes back. But even if he does, Iām sure itās nice to see his family
Bron mustāve put him on
Gonna be higher than Aaron Gordon trying to play Game 7 last year.
Bro really watched the game tonight and decided he wants to come back to this.
Sounds like some European super PEDs that isn’t detectable by NBA standards
They gonna inject his hamstring with German horse semen
Bro likes to play basketball
Luka Hardencic
Roids arc lets go
Hmmm. The U.S. healthcare system sucks in a lot of ways, but at his level, U.S. medical care is still world-class. Itās not like they have different hamstrings in Europe. I hope this doesnāt mean heās doing something stupid.
Him trying to return is the dumbest move. Even if he comes back at 100%, lakers will be annihilated by okc or spurs.
Its better he rests and get 100% than trying to do this
I donāt think this is a good ideaā¦but I do respect the effort.
Dr Strange using the time stone to fix Luka hamstring & return him to the current timeline to avoid the 65 game rule
Oh yeah lebron put him onto his German doctor. AR go with him too man.
Luka, now is not the time for a backpacking trip
Luka being soft is probably the dumbest narrative about him
Guy plays through everything. Sometimes to a fault
Germany treatment Iām excited
PR play or not, you gotta respect it. But we all know you canāt expedite hamstring recovery.
lakers better stop him. like watching OG on knicks come back and couldnt move or harden losing a step after hamstring injury on nets. not something to fk around with
(What Iām about to say is almost certainly cope, but having said that)
Remember when LeBron injured his foot in 2023 and almost everyone thought it was a season ending injury and maybe even a career altering injury? Even many of the biggest optimists were saying the earliest LeBron would join is during the playoffs. Lebron then went to Germany, got ātreatmentā done, and was somehow able to come back before the playoffs started and the Lakers made it to the WCF.
We all know Europe has some sus treatments that arenāt available in the USA. Maybe Luka is about to get some experimental shit that will allow him to come back sometime in the 1st round? (~3.5 weeks since injury, which would be around game 3 or 4 of the 1st round). This isnāt even unheard of for grade 2 hamstring injuries that donāt get the sus Europe medical treatment. Hell, Aaron Gordon played a game 7 on a grade 2 just last year.
If lakers can keep the 1st round somewhat close (maybe only down 2-1 or tied 2-2), it could be doable.
(Again, most of this is cope but it isnāt complete fantasy).Ā
Stem Cells like āaight pull upā
they gonna have him submerged in the crunk juice tank
He’s going to return early and get hurt.
This is what happens when you make a mandatory minimum of 65 games to be eligible for awards. They’re not just harmless awards, either; contracts and maximum pay days are tied to All-NBA selections and All-Star appearances.
Load management existed for a reason, but Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard ruined it for everyone and now players are forcing themselves to play hurt or rush recovery just to be eligible for awards.
