Pretty good recap of Bedard’s season and the struggles he/the team have faced. As much as the late stretch of poor play has been a huge drag for us all, I think it’s important to look back with articles like this and remember how much fun the season has been overall compared to the last few and how much growth we have seen!

I think this was my favorite and the most interesting part of the article:
>*But Bedard hasn’t slowed down any. He even went so far as to say he’s creating more since the Olympic break than he was when he was tearing up the league in the first 31 games of the season. And the numbers back that up: Per Natural Stat Trick, he’s creating more individual shot attempts per 60 (16.66 compared with 15.14), more scoring chances per 60 (9.72 compared with 8.22) and more high-danger scoring chances per 60 (3.17 compared with 2.93) since the break than he was before the injury. It was that interim period between the injury and the Olympic break, when he couldn’t even take a faceoff, that his play might have dipped a bit.*
>*”I think since the break, I’ve created a ton, maybe more than when I was up there in points,” he said. “I feel pretty good. The last five or so games for our group have been tough. But I think the first 20-some after the break, I probably felt my best that I played. We’ve all been a little snakebitten for a little bit.”*

Certainly aligns with the eye test lol before the recent road trip of doom, the kid had been flying all over the place every single game but the Greene/Burakovsky experience post-break has really hampered his point production and even swayed the outcome of plenty of games lately.
Nowhere to go but up with a superstar like Bedard!
a TON of tight games this season and we seemed to lose almost everyone of them, could be worse.
imagine if he had a decent winger like Demidov. Hopefully we can luck into McKenna/Stenberg for him
Blash really nuked his points production forcing Bura on his line
I really wonder what his point totals would be if he wasn’t injured
How many assists could he average per season in his prime 110-120?
If we can luck out and get Stenberg/McKenna, it would be an interesting opportunity to potentially load Nazar up with Bedard on a line together. They already have some built in chemistry playing together on the PP and in OT.
Bedard/Nazar and Frondell/Stenberg along with whoever could fit in the remaining spots like Kantserov would be a strong top 6.
