  1. NFL “genius” jay gruden. I’m not worried about anything he says.

  2. Its also more valuable for the future as well. Jayden needs a running mate for his career.

  3. Tate is the most NFL ready WR in the draft but some of our fanbase thinks it’s a problem if we take him. Despite our receiving core being one of the worst in the league.

    Hilarious.

  4. No question about it. He’d be more dangerous than Burrow with Burrow’s receivers

  5. well duh. it comes down to what our offense needs more though. which is still a WR.

  6. Doesn’t take a genius to understand how to maximize a QB:

    – Good OL

    – Good pass catchers

    – Good RB

    In that order

  7. I’d say this is obvious given the salaries at the position. The only reason you take a RB over a WR is if you aren’t confident the WR will be exceptional, and you are that the RB will be.

  8. The problem is there is no an exceptional wr in this years draft, but there’s absolutely an exceptional rb who could easily fall to us at 7. The question should be “who’s better, an exceptional rb or a good wr?”

  9. Walter Football, the self-proclaimed “most accurate NFL draft projector” shows Carnell Tate gone at 1.06 to the Cleveland Browns.

If this season rebounds like it should, we are not picking in the top-10 next year. The website basically projects we get lucky and David Bailey falls to us at 1.07

I think there are a few players worthy of the 1.07 and Tate is one of them. As long as we don’t whiff on the pick and we get a starter who lives up to expectations, it’s a win to me.

  10. The real question is an exceptional RB or a good WR? That seems to be the dilemma specific to draft discussion and discourse.

  11. I mean, duh? This is common sense lol. The issue is that none of the receivers in this class are “exceptional” while Love is atleast debated as being an exceptional prospect. Love is the best offensive player in this draft and in a normal draft none of the receivers are top 10 picks.

  12. Pretty sure we’re going either defense or WR with that #7. Defense out of obvious necessity, and WR because Peters has been unable to sufficiently cultivate a WR pulled from later rounds.

  13. Why do they continue to ask “Jay Gruden” his opinion on anything Washington related? The Guy was a Snyder yes man.

  14. Even with Walmart employees he can shred they just absolutely need to be fast af

  15. We don’t need a blue chip receiver *just yet*.

This year’s receiver class is deep enough that we should be able to get a number 2 in the 3rd round.

Meanwhile, if we can get a blue chip safety or corner we absolutely should.

    Downs or Delane

  16. Thankfully the only thing linking us to Love are our demented fans who desperately want this team to remain a perennial loser franchise.

I’m still undecided on what I would enjoy more, the Giants wasting a top 5 pick on him, or us passing on him out right.

  17. Probably can’t get Tate. Don’t want to trade up with few picks. Would love a DE or Styles if available.

  18. This team definitely has a need at WR. I honestly think the best route is to sign Keenan Allen.

I think Deebo or Aiyuk will proably be on the team next season too.

Those guys probably don’t move the needle as much as we need, but they are serviceable.

The 7th pick in a defense heavy draft is way to valuable to waste on an offensive player.

  19. How about both IJS, we have the opportunity to get a stud RB and a really good reciever

  20. I’m just now realizing Jay Gruden sounds like Coach from Homestar Runner.
