Ohio State held its final practice of spring on Friday morning ahead of Saturday’s spring game. This was a dress rehearsal of sorts for the annual scrimmage, as the Buckeyes moved practice to Ohio Stadium.

Friday’s practice also drew attendees outside the program. In addition to the local media, football coaches from across the state were invited to the sidelines for an up-close view of practice as part of the Scarlet and Gray’s coaches clinic, which began on Thursday with speeches from offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and former NFL head coach Jon Gruden.

Practice began with the typical warmups and stretching, then moved into positional drills. Ohio State coaches often paused drills to explain to the visiting coaches present why and how they perform these exercises. The Buckeyes also ran 7-on-7, full-team drills and red zone work.
