DALLAS — Minnesota Wild winger Mats Zuccarello is out for Monday night’s game against the Dallas Stars with an upper-body injury.

A Wild team source told The Athletic that Zuccarello’s injury was suffered on an elbow the veteran took to the head early in Game 1 from Stars defenseman Tyler Myers.

“It was dirty,” the team source said.

Zuccarello finished the game and became the eighth player 38 or older to have three assists in a playoff game. He also took part in Monday’s pregame skate.

Without Zuccarello, who has 15 assists and 19 points in 30 playoff games for the Wild, Vladimir Tarasenko will start Monday’s game on the right side of the Kirill Kaprizov-Ryan Hartman line. Bobby Brink will make his Stanley Cup playoff debut on the right side of a line with Nick Foligno and Danila Yurov. Yakov Trenin will take Foligno’s spot on the fourth line with Marcus Foligno and Michael McCarron.

The Wild lead the Stars 1-0 in the first-round series.
