Hall of Famer Teresa Weatherspoon plus former WNBA stars Lindsey Harding and Ty Young join previously named WNBA on Prime analyst Swin Cash for studio coverage. Emmy Award-winning Allie Clifton named studio host, Emmy Award-winning Lisa Byington and Mike Watts join Michael Grady to provide play-by-play, JayDee Dyer, Kayla Grey and Morgan Ragan named sideline reporters.

(Black PR Wire) CULVER CITY, CALIF. — Prime Video previously announced that Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Swin Cash and Candace Parker, and play-by-play voice Michael Grady will serve as analysts and announcer, respectively, for WNBA on Prime. Today, Prime announced additions to its on-air talent lineup ahead of the league’s 30th season. The roster features a decorated panel including Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon, former WNBA player and current NBA assistant coach Lindsey Harding, two-time Olympic gold medalist and current Duke University Women’s Basketball head coach Kara Lawson, veteran broadcaster LaChina Robinson and former WNBA player and coach Ty Young. Also new to the team are play-by-play voices Lisa Byington and Mike Watts as well as respected sports broadcasters JayDee Dyer, Kayla Grey and Morgan Ragan who will serve as sideline reporters. Allie Clifton, NBA on Prime sideline reporter, will serve as the studio host for WNBA on Prime’s pregame, halftime and postgame coverage.

A defining player of the league’s founding era, Cooper brings unmatched historical perspective and championship pedigree to WNBA on Prime. The WNBA legend and Olympic medalist helped lead the Houston Comets to four consecutive championship titles from 1997 to 2000 and was named WNBA Finals MVP in each of those years. Cooper was the league’s leading scorer for three straight seasons and is a two-time league MVP.

Harding made history as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 WNBA Draft and enjoyed a successful playing career before transitioning to coaching. She currently serves as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers. Her perspective from both the WNBA and NBA sidelines will provide key insight in-studio.

Lawson brings a unique dual perspective as both an accomplished player and coach. An Olympic gold-medalist and WNBA Champion, Lawson currently serves as head coach of the Duke University women’s basketball program and the U.S. Women’s Basketball National Team. She previously worked as an analyst for ESPN and the Washington Wizards before transitioning to coaching, giving her a blend of playing experience, coaching insight, and broadcast expertise.

Robinson joins Prime Video with extensive experience covering the WNBA and NCAA women’s basketball, bringing both deep knowledge of the game and a gift for engaging storytelling. The women’s basketball mainstay spent the last 16 years with ESPN as a host and analyst and has covered three Olympic Games with NBCUniversal.

A two-time Olympic gold medalist, five-time WNBA All-Star, and the league’s first-ever Defensive Player of the Year, Weatherspoon brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the WNBA on Prime desk for select in-studio appearances. She made four WNBA Finals appearances with the New York Liberty and has since coached at the WNBA, NBA, and collegiate levels, most recently serving as head coach for Unrivaled’s Vinyl BC.

A first-round draft pick, first-ever pick for the Atlanta Dream, and the first James Madison University player ever selected in the WNBA Draft, Young brings 12 seasons of playing experience with the Chicago Sky and Las Vegas Aces to the WNBA on Prime desk for select in-studio appearances. She most recently served as an assistant coach for the Sky during the 2024 season.

Byington brings over a decade of WNBA experience back to Prime Video, having already called two Commissioner’s Cup Championships for the service. She has also called national WNBA games on CBS and has been the Chicago Sky’s lead play-by-play voice since 2013. The trailblazing multi-sport broadcaster made history as the first woman to serve as a full-time television play-by-play announcer for a major men’s professional sports team when she was named the Milwaukee Bucks’ play-by-play voice in 2021—a distinction she also holds for Big Ten college football and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Grey is an award-winning Canadian sports reporter, host, and producer, best known as the host and co-executive producer of TSN’s The Shift with Kayla Grey, a regular anchor on SportsCentre. Prior to joining Prime Video, she notably served as the courtside reporter for TSN’s coverage of the Toronto Raptors.

Ragan brings more than a decade of experience covering basketball at the highest level. She has worked as both a color analyst and sideline reporter, with appearances on NBA TV, ESPN, and various regional networks. She currently serves as the color analyst for the Golden State Valkyries and hosts Sacramento Kings pre- and post-game coverage on NBC Sports California.

Clifton, the current host for Spectrum Sportsnet’s Los Angeles Lakers studio coverage, expands her NBA on Prime sideline reporter role to host WNBA on Prime’s studio show. Dyer brings his global perspective and unique flair for storytelling to WNBA on Prime following his debut as an NBA sideline reporter for Prime Video this season. Watts joins the WNBA on Prime play-by-play team alongside his work as part of Prime Video’s NWSL coverage with prior basketball experience as an announcer for ESPN, NCAA Division I affiliated networks and more.

Prime Video’s expanded WNBA coverage tips off on Thursday May 14 with a doubleheader featuring the Minnesota Lynx vs Dallas Wings at 8 p.m. ET followed by New York Liberty vs Portland Fire at 10 p.m., with WNBA on Prime Pregame and WNBA Nightcap bookending each game night.

This season, Prime Video will exclusively stream 30 WNBA regular-season games and the Championship Game of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup presented by Coinbase in more than 220 countries and territories around the world. WNBA on Prime will also be home to exclusive postseason games for the first time including one first-round WNBA Playoff series each year, plus seven semifinal series and three WNBA Finals throughout the 11-year term. As part of the agreement Prime Video will be the third-party digital distributor for WNBA League Pass, the WNBA’s subscription service for streaming live and on-demand games, in the U.S. and internationally.
