MANCHESTER, N.H. —
The New England Patriots announced that former tight end Rob Gronkowski will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.
Gronkowski, known as “Gronk,” will be the 38th inductee.
He spent nine seasons in New England and helped the team win three Super Bowls.
He joins wide receiver Julian Edelman, who was selected last year, quarterback Tom Brady, and head coach Mike Vrabel in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
“Jules just gave me a little, you know, voicemail, text message thing. He loves those, he lives and dies for them, and usually I read them, but I listened to this one,” Gronkowski said Wednesday at a press conference from his pontoon boat in Florida. “He congratulated me.”
Gronkowski ranks first in Patriots history with 79 total regular-season touchdowns and 521 catches for more than 7,800 receiving yards, the second-most in team history.

Other finalists for this year’s Hall of Fame included kicker Adam Vinatieri and guard Logan Mankins.
Gronkowski said he first learned of his selection when he received a voicemail from team owner Robert Kraft.
“I had absolutely no clue when the induction was going to happen or when it was ending. So, it caught me off guard a little bit,” he said. “I was in my sauna last night, and I listened to his voicemail at 10:30 last night. So, it was really, really cool and that’s why I will be keeping that voicemail forever, because it was the first time I heard about me going into the Patriots Hall of Fame.”
He said he is grateful to have been part of the organization.
The date for Gronkowski’s induction ceremony will be announced after the 2026 NFL schedule is released.
