Raven Johnson has been getting to know her new Indiana Fever teammates well over the past few weeks. This also includes the team’s head coach Stephanie White.
The Fever selected Johnson in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Draft. The team used their 10th overall pick to scoop up the reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

Johnson recently met White’s partner, Lisa Salters, for the first time during practice. The 23-year-old shared her experience on Monday as she spoke to reporters during training camp.
“[White’s] wife came to practice the other day, and I was like, ‘Dang! You got some taste!” Johnson said of White and Salters.
The rookie’s honest statement drew laughs from reporters as Johnson made her high opinion of her coach’s partner very clear.
White and Salters have been together for years now. The Fever coach lives with the prominent ESPN reporter, along with their four kids. White has three sons, while Salters has one son, all from previous relationships.

Last season, White stepped away from the Fever to attend to a family matter. At that time, Salters was also absent from her role as a sideline reporter for ABC’s coverage of the NBA Finals. According to reports, the couple attended to Salters’ mother, who was dealing with health issues.

As for Johnson, her time with Salters may have been brief, but it is clear that the veteran sportscaster left quite an impression on the young guard.
Johnson enters the WNBA season with high hopes and big expectations. White already stated that she intends to “find minutes” for Johnson in the rotation once the regular season starts.
