One that’s gaining some traction is Jaylen Brown for Giannis Antetokounmpo, given that both superstars appear dissatisfied with their current situations.
Giannis wants to play for a winner and have a legit shot at a title while he’s still in his prime. Meanwhile, Brown may want a chance to lead his own team after proving he could do it in Jayson Tatum‘s absence this year.
NBA insider Brian Windhorst thinks swapping superstars could make sense for both sides.
“It’s extraordinarily simple. Of course it makes sense,” Windhorst said on Wednesday’s episode of “Get Up.” “This is all gonna take care of itself.”

Windhorst explained that Brown will be eligible for a contract extension in July. If he’s happy and wants to stay, he’ll probably sign one. If he’s not, then the Celtics should explore trading him.
Brown has sent mixed signals about how he feels about Boston right now, so hopefully by the summer he has a better sense of where he’s at and what he wants to do next in his career.
