Uncrowned has Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven live results, round-by-round updates, highlights, ring walks and start time for the Usyk vs. Verhoeven card on Saturday at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. In a historic main event, boxing’s pound-for-pound king Oleksandr Usyk defends his WBC heavyweight title against kickboxing legend Rico Verhoeven in a big-time crossover clash.
Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs), a former undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight champion, enters the bout as the WBC, WBA and IBF unified heavyweight titlist, although the latter two belts will not be on the line because his opponent is unranked.

Usyk is one of the most accomplished fighters of this era. The Ukrainian has defeated a string of top opposition across two weight classes, including a fifth-round knockout win over the current WBO champion Daniel Dubois this past July at Wembley Stadium.
After establishing himself as one of the greatest kickboxers of all time, Verhoeven (1-0, 1 KO) enters a boxing ring for just the second time Saturday. Verhoeven, 36, had his lone professional boxing match to date in 2014, a second-round knockout of Janos Finfera.
A longtime GLORY heavyweight champion, Verhoeven (66-10 kickboxing) retired from kickboxing this past June. The Dutchman holds multiple GLORY Kickboxing records, including a run of 13 consecutive title defenses in the promotion.
The Usyk vs. Verhoeven prelims begin at 11 a.m. ET and can be watched on Uncrowned below.
The main card starts at 2 p.m. ET on DAZN pay-per-view, with main event ring walks expected around 6 p.m. ET.

Frank Sanchez had success with a right-hand earlier in Round 2. In the opening frame, Torrez was able to move out of range to avoid Sanchez’s counters. But in the second session, that wasn’t the case.
Sanchez slid perfectly to the left to make room for a counter right-hand that landed flush on Torrez’s face in the opening minute of Round 2.
Torrez ultimately could not beat the count.

Torrez is aiming much of his early work at the body. It was the key for Agit Kabayel in his destruction of Frank Sanchez, and Torrez is looking to follow in his footsteps. Torrez’s bouncing movement and feints are proving effective. The pressure is keeping Sanchez busy. Brilliant left-hand from Torrez in the final 30 seconds.
