WNBA fans on social media reckon A’ja Wilson may be engaged to Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo, after spotting her wearing a ring on her left ring finger during an interview.
Caitlin Clark’s health has dominated the WNBA headlines of late, after the league handed the Indiana Fever a warning for not including her on a midweek injury report before she was a scratch to face the Portland Fire on Wednesday. Clark returned to the lineup on Friday, where she delivered an impressive performance against the Golden State Valkyries despite getting herself into foul trouble.
Meanwhile, Saturday saw Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces fall to the Los Angeles Sparks 101-95, despite a 24-point, 15-rebound double-double performance from the four-time WNBA MVP.

While Clark has undoubtedly become the face of the WNBA, there can be no doubt that, right now, Wilson is the league’s best player. This offseason, she inked a three-year, $5 million supermax deal with Las Vegas, which she has helped guide to three WNBA championships.
Off the court, the 29-year-old is also in a long-term relationship with NBA star Bam Adebayo.
Recently, Wilson fuelled speculation that she and the Heat star are engaged after she was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand ring finger during an interview with Nekias Duncan.
“More so off-court stuff from me today,” began Duncan, adding: “How are you finding time to plan all of these events while also managing the season?”
“Honestly, I have a great team behind me,” replied Wilson. “When it comes to off-court stuff, it’s really my team behind me that’s helping me manage my schedule, making sure that I show up and be ready, that I’m not like overbooking myself.”
After asking a few more questions about her activities both on and off the court, Duncan’s attention then turned to Wilson’s relationship with Adebayo.

Duncan said: “Last one from me, if I could sneak in a Bam question, he’s one of the best switch defenders in basketball. You’ve been switching quite a bit the last couple of years, how often do y’all get to get into the particulars of switching.
Wilson replied: “It comes around later in the season when we kind of work out together, and I’m asking him questions on how he would guard certain players … I think Bam also does a great job of – his speed and his quickness is just incredible. I’m like I may not be there, but he puts it in a framework that I can grasp.”
Eagle-eyed fans on social media noticed that Wilson, while answering the question about Adebayo, swapped a ring that was on her left hand, specifically on her ring finger, over to her right hand subtly.
“Good interview. Did you notice the ring transfer from the left hand to the right after bringing Bam up?” wrote one fan after watching the interview.
Another added: “If you look at the photos she switched the ring on both fingers.”
However, others have suggested the ring in question was actually an Oura Ring, which is a fitness device. “That is very obviously an oura ring,” wrote one fan.
Another added: “This is false.”
A third said: “This is a oura ring not a engagement.”
