Barcelona have reportedly held “exploratory talks” with Chelsea over a potential summer move for Joao Pedro but have been told there is “no price” that will convince the Blues to part ways with the Brazilian.

Pedro has emerged as an alternative to Julian Alvarez as Barcelona search for a replacement for outgoing striker Robert Lewandowski.

Reporter Ben Jacobs says that Barcelona’s interest is “genuine” but has played down talk of a possible move to Barcelona.

He posted on X: “Although Barcelona’s interest in Joao Pedro is genuine, and some exploratory talks have taken place, Chelsea are not prepared to sell. There is no price that will change the club’s stance this summer, even a world-record bid.”

Pedro joined Chelsea last summer from Brighton for £60 million and he’s had a good season at Stamford Bridge, scoring 20 goals in all competitions.
