The bout took place at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas and capped off a celebrity-filled card promoted by Adin Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions. Manziel said afterward he doesn’t plan to fight again.

Manziel, 33, is one of the biggest stars in college football history. He won the Heisman Trophy as a redshirt freshman at Texas A&M in 2012 and enjoyed similar success in 2013.

The Cleveland Browns drafted Manziel in the first round in 2014, but off-field issues plagued him as a pro and he fizzled out in the NFL.

Former NBA players Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley also competed on the card, with Stephenson securing a first-round submission victory.
