The Atlanta Dream fell to the Indiana Fever in a Commissioner’s Cup game on Thursday night. Despite losing the game, Dream star Angel Reese turned in another dominant two-way performance, recording yet another double-double as she scored 11 points and snagged 10 rebounds.
Reese is averaging a double-double on the season, but as impressive as she’s been, she has struggled at times with her scoring efficiency, especially outside of the painted area. Before Thursday’s game, Reese was seen working on her outside shot, but fans feel that her trainers and coaches are letting her down when it comes to her shooting form.

Is this on her coaches?
Fans were quick to point out the flaws in Reese’s form, especially in regard to her right leg.
“So fundamentally bad. How are you shooting left handed but stepping forward with your right foot. My brain wouldn’t even allow my body to do so,” one fan posted on X.
“That jumper beyond broke,” another person added.
“The right leg motion is throwing me off Where are the shooting coaches? Stepping with the opposite leg???” another person wrote.
Reese’s critics may have a point; in the one three-pointer she attempted in the game, she airballed pretty badly.

The Dream didn’t bring Reese to Atlanta to score 20 points every outing, but the team will still need her to improve her efficiency if it wants to go on a legitimate title run this season. It’ll be interesting to see if she tweaks her form as the campaign unfolds.
