SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – NBC’s coverage of the 2026 U.S. Open Golf Championship will impact several regularly scheduled WNDU newscasts this weekend.
Friday evening newscasts will stream only
U.S. Open coverage begins Friday, June 19 at 1:30 p.m. on WNDU and is scheduled to run until 7:30 p.m. As a result, WNDU’s 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts will not air on TV.
Those newscasts will be available via streaming on WNDU.com, the WNDU app, and WNDU’s Roku, FireTV and Apple TV apps.
No 6 p.m. newscasts on TV Saturday and Sunday
WNDU’s 6 p.m. newscasts on Saturday and Sunday will also be impacted by U.S. Open coverage and will be streamed instead.
WNDU’s 11 p.m. newscasts will air as normally scheduled both nights.
Weekend morning shows mostly unchanged
NBC’s U.S. Open coverage does not impact WNDU’s Saturday and Sunday morning newscasts.
However, WNDU’s Saturday morning newscast will run from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. instead of its usual 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. schedule due to NBC’s horse racing coverage for Day 5 of the Royal Ascot.
