Current WNBA player and Triad native Liz Kitley holds first-ever basketball camp at alma mater

IN THE ROUND OF 32 HAVE BEEN DECIDED IN A PENALTY SHOOTOUT. IT WAS ALSO A DAY FILLED WITH THREE POINTERS, FREE THROWS AND BIG SMILES FOR WNBA PLAYER AND GUILFORD COUNTY ZONE NATIVE LIZ KELLY. TODAY, THE FORMER VIRGINIA TECH STAR RETURNED TO NORTHWEST GUILFORD HIGH SCHOOL TO HOST HER FIRST EVER BASKETBALL CAMP. NOW, CAMPERS HIT THE COURT AT 10:00 THIS MORNING TO WORK ON THEIR SKILLS WITH A SPECIAL INVITE ONLY SESSION FOLLOWING AT 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON. PITT LEE SAYS IT’S GREAT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY SHE CALLS HOME. JUST HAS SO MUCH HISTORY WITH MY FAMILY. MY DAD WAS MY PRINCIPAL HERE. MY BROTHERS WENT HERE, MY SISTER VOLUNTEERED HERE. MY MOM WORKED HERE. LIKE IT JUST FEELS LIKE HOME.
