For the sixth consecutive season, Liberty forward Breanna Stewart is voted in as an All-Star Game starter.
The league announced the honor Thursday, giving Stewart her eight total All-Star Game appearance in her 10-year WNBA career.
Stewart is now set to join these All-Star Game starters when the exhibition takes place at Chicago’s United Center on July 25:
Aliyah Boston (Fever)
Caitlin Clark (Fever)
Kelsey Mitchell (Fever)
Olivia Miles (Lynx)
Natasha Howard (Lynx)
Paige Bueckers (Wings)
Jessica Shepard (Wings)
Gabby Williams (Valkyries)
A’ja Wilson (Aces)
Fans account for 50% of the voting for All-Star Game starters. The remaining 50% is split between votes from all current players and a media panel. The format of four guards and six frontcourt players are used throughout the process.
Fifteen head coaches will select 12 reserves to fill out the roster (three guards, five frontcourt players and four players at either position).
Stewart earned the nod posting averages of 19.2 points (ninth in WNBA), 8.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks across 32.6 minutes per game. She earned Commissioner’s Cup MVP for her efforts in a 93-85 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday.
She’s also been the best player on a Liberty team that entered Thursday with a 12-8 record, 3 and a half games behind top-seeded Minnesota Lynx.
Stewart has been an All-Star in every season she’s spent with the Liberty. Before arriving in 2023, Stewart spent six seasons with the Seattle Storm. She won a title with the franchise in 2018 and represented the squad four times in the All-Star Game.
Stewart’s Liberty teammate Jonquel Jones is in the running to represent the team next month in Chicago as a reserve.
