CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A mini golf course is coming to The Banks as part of a proposed partnership between Cincinnati and Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate, Mayor Aftab Pureval announced Wednesday.
The proposal includes a three-year lease of lot 18 for the course, located at 55 E. Freedom Way.
“With this installation, there’s an opportunity to attract families and visitors of all ages. And as we move forward with next steps of engagement, it can serve a real benefit to the organizations and residents who call The Banks home,” said Mayor Pureval.
The partnership includes a commitment to generate yearly funds for the Freedom Center and other potential projects benefiting the community, according to the city.
“Lot 18 Mini Golf is exactly the kind of family-friendly attraction that brings people together and creates new energy along The Banks,” said Hamilton County Commission President Stephanie Summerow Dumas.
The course is meant to be temporary while long-term planning continues for The Banks Master Plan.
The next step is to take the proposal before the city planning commission on July 17.
