Rangers thumped Raith Rovers 5-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly as Derek McInnes stepped up preparations for the new season.
The new Ibrox boss ran the rule over his squad in Saturday’s bounce game, with summer signings Ross McCrorie and Dan Neil both featuring.
But there was no sign of Ivor Pandur, with the £6million keeper not due back until later this month after Croatia’s World Cup dream was ended by Portugal on Friday night.
Scotland quartet Liam Kelly, John Souttar, Findlay Curtis and Lawrence Shankland were also absent.
Belgium midfielder Nicolas Raskin and Norway international Thelo Aasgaard remain on World Cup duty as they compete in the last 16.
McInnes is set to take his squad to Spain for a warm-weather training camp after scrapping plans for a trip to Austria that had been arranged under Danny Rohl.
And Gers stars were given another chance to impress on Saturday as they romped to a high-scoring victory over Championship outfit Raith, as reported by the Rangers Review.
The Light Blues raced into a two-goal half-time lead thanks to strikes from Lyall Cameron and Tuur Rommens.
McCrorie marked his return with a goal after the break, while Nedim Bajrami and Ryan Naderi also found the net before Raith grabbed a late consolation from the penalty spot.
