COLUMBIA, S.C. – WKU Women’s Tennis junior Madison Hill claimed the Women’s Open Doubles title at the ITA Summer Series: Points Race Series – South Carolina on Sunday in Columbia, South Carolina.
Hill, who signed with the Lady Toppers in May as a transfer from Saint Louis, and partner Franchesca Brown defeated Ava Brewer and Olivia Bull 8-5 in the final match.
“Very happy for Madison winning the doubles finals at the South Carolina ITA,” WKU Women’s Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis said. “The competition at these summer collegiate tournaments is at a very high level and it’s good that we’ve had two players in the finals so far this summer.”
The duo received a bye in the Round of 16, before defeating Shelby White and Emory Cromer 8-1 in the quarterfinals on Saturday. Hill and Brown claimed an 8-4 victory in the semifinals on Sunday, before the win in the final later the same day.
It marks the second finals appearance for a Lady Topper in an ITA Summer Series: Points Race Series event this year. WKU Women’s Tennis redshirt sophomore Isabelle Einess advanced to the finals in women’s singles of the Wake Forest event in mid-June.
The Lady Toppers finished the 2026 season with an 11-14 record, marking the fifth straight season the program has reached double-digit wins. It is the second time in program history WKU Women’s Tennis has accomplished that, also doing so between the 2009-13 seasons. The Lady Toppers have won 73 matches over the last five seasons, which is the highest win total over a five-year period in program history.
