The Piketon Lady Redstreaks began their 2026 golf campaign this past week by playing in three different matches, including one with neighboring Pike County school Waverly.

The following sections include more details on each of those matches.

Aug. 3 – Girls SVC Match #1

The Piketon Lady Redstreaks opened Scioto Valley Conference golf play with a victory Monday at Crown Hill Golf Club.

Piketon was led by senior Laila Kelley, who secured runner-up medalist honors with a 39. Zane Trace’s Rosella Lattavo was the medalist, leading the field with a 37.

Piketon finished with an overall team score of 181, edging Zane Trace by four strokes at 185. Adena finished with a team score of 190, followed by Westfall (217) and Huntington (223).

Individually for Piketon behind Kelley’s runner-up medalist score of 39, Peyton Day shot 45, Alayna Hitchcock added a 46 and Aubree Elliott turned in a 51. Rounding out the scores were Olivia Brownfield (60) and Brynlee Venturino (70).

Aug. 4 – Quad

Piketon hosted a quad match Tuesday afternoon at Big Beaver Creek Golf Club.

The Lady Redstreaks led the field by finishing with a team score of 199, followed by Huntington (237), North Adams (252) and Waverly (265).

Piketon senior Laila Kelley was the medalist with a 41. Teammates Peyton Day (46) and Aubree Elliott (48) followed close behind. Brynlee Venturino finished with a 64.

Individually for Waverly, senior Bre Dutcher led the way with a 54, followed by sophomore Sadie Crace with a 58. Isabella McComis shot 74. Emma Hudnell rounded it out with a 79.

Aug. 6 – Adena Invitational

The Piketon Lady Redstreaks participated in the Adena Lady Warrior Classic Thursday, which was played at the Chillicothe Jaycees Golf Course.

Piketon finished fifth in the Lady Warrior Classic with 15 of the top teams in the area, shooting 402, which was 18 strokes off the lead.

Piketon coach Steve Spencer said it was not their best outing but they played hard.

The top four players for the Lady Redstreaks included third place Laila Kelley with an 81, followed by Peyton Day with a 91, Aubree Elliott with a 105 and Brynlee Venturino with a 125.

The Piketon Lady Redstreaks will be back in action Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. on their home course Big Beaver Creek Golf Club where they will face Gallia Academy, Paint Valley and Huntington.
