POTSDAM — The Potsdam Elks Lodge #2074 recently hosted a Soccer Shoot contest at the Potsdam High School Soccer Field. A total of 66 area youth participated in the contest that consisted of 4 age divisions; U8, U10, U12 and U14. The top three finishers in each division were:
U8 Girls: 1st – Elizabeth Russell, 2nd – Ivy Lavarnway, 3rd – Kallyn McGregor.
U10 Girls: 1st – Margaret Zahler, 2nd – Jaelyn Bliss.
U12 Girls: 1st – Aubrey LaVoie, 2nd – Emily Geidel, 3rd – Anna Russell
U14 Girls: 1st – Nora, 2nd – Emma Russell, 3rd – Maci Monroe
U8 Boys: 1st – Jaxson Boeitcher, 2nd – Caden LaVoie, 3rd – Kian Shyaka
U10 Boys: 1st – Koa Shyaka, 2nd – Rylan Dent, 3rd – Wyatt Reed
U12 Boys: 1st – Luke Stone, 2nd – Liam Dent, 3rd – Kellan Cook
U14 Boys: 1st – Gaston LaCourse, 2nd – Colin Basfoed, 3rd – Isaac Hughes
Potsdam Lodge extends congratulations to this year’s contestants. The 1st place finishers now advance to a District contest that will be held at the Lowville Elks Lodge on Sunday, September 20.
