The Sun Prairie West girls golf team has grown accustomed to finding success.

Since their inception in 2022, the Wolves have missed the sectional round of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) just once. The Wolves always seem to graduate from the regional round, whether fully as a team like 2022 or with individual qualifiers like 2024 and 2025.

EVA LAROWE

Sun Prairie West senior Eva Larowe shot 91 to finish 16th invidually, leading the Wolves to an eighth place team score of 409 at the Watertown Girls Golf Invitational at the Watertown Country Club on Friday, Aug. 14.

This fall, Sun Prairie West brings back individual sectional qualifiers from the past two seasons. Despite graduating nine seniors in the offseason, the Wolves have plenty left in the cupboard to keep hopes alive for continued postseason success.

Senior Eva LaRowe is the name to know. She was an individual sectional qualifier in 2024 and has never missed the Big Eight all-conference list, making it as an honorable mention from her freshman through junior seasons. Last season, LaRowe tied for 16th at the conference meet and narrowly missed out on sectional qualification with a 92 at regionals.

Sophomore Giada Lenczner burst onto the scene last fall, representing the future of the program. She was West’s lone sectional qualifier as her 87 score at regionals earned her a tie for 14th overall. Unfortunately, a foot injury kept her from competing at the sectional event a week later. Lenczner also had the team’s lowest score at the 2025 Big Eight conference meet with an 89 to tie for 10th place overall.

There are plenty more hopefuls for varsity greatness on the roster, as well. Seniors Vivian Paske and Skye Robinson filled varsity roles as juniors last season. Mary Satzer, the lone junior on the team, always seems to find her stride in the state tournament and seems destined to get to sectionals soon enough.

The 2026 season is already underway for the Wolves, too. They made the short trip to The Meadows of Six-Mile Creek Golf Course on Thursday, Aug. 13 for the Waunakee Bestball Invitational. There, West tied for fourth among 16 teams with a team score of 78.

GIADA LENCZNER

Sun Prairie West sophomore Giada Lenczner qualified individually for the sectional round of the 2025 WIAA state tournament.

LaRowe had the low score for the Wolves with an 84, seventh place overall. Lenczner wasn’t far behind in 11th with an 89. Additionally, Satzer shot a 101 and sophomore Campbell Rempt scored a 113.

Sun Prairie West followed that up by competing in the Watertown Invitational at Watertown Country Club on Friday, Aug. 14. The Wolves placed eighth of 18 teams with a combined team score of 409.

LaRowe was again the low scorer for West with a 91, 16th place overall. Satzer and Lenczner were next up with a 101 and 102, respectively.

This leads Sun Prairie West into a two-event week, including its first home meet of the season. The Wolves will host a Big Eight conference triangular at Prairie Pines Golf Course on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Prior to that, they will compete in an invitational at The Oaks Golf Course on Monday, Aug. 17.
