LITTLE FALLS — A 65-year-old Avon man was injured after the golf cart he was a passenger in flipped over Saturday, Aug. 15, near Little Falls.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reported the golf cart tipped over at a private residence off 200th Street, approximately 3 miles north of Little Falls in Green Prairie Township.
According to the sheriff’s office, Kenneth Litchy, 60, was operating a golf cart when Neal Rausch was in the process of getting into the golf cart as a passenger. Litchy inadvertently stepped on the accelerator, causing the golf cart to suddenly accelerate and tip over. Rausch was injured as a result of the accident.
Rausch was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with unknown injuries.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Randall Fire & Rescue and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
