NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race coming to Bowman Gray in 2027, officials say

Officials say the inaugural event’s debut at the Madhouse’s iconic quarter-mile track will give Triad racing fans the chance to see some of the sport’s newest stars, adding to the venue’s long racing history. They said that it will mark the first points-paying NASCAR national series event at the stadium since 1971.

“Bringing the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series to Bowman Gray Stadium for the first time is an incredibly exciting moment for this historic facility and for our fans,” said President of Martinsville Speedway and VP NASCAR Mid-Atlantic Clay Campbell. “Bowman Gray has always been about putting on unforgettable racing in front of some of the most passionate fans in the sport. We know the trucks will put on an incredible shown when they take on the Madhouse.”
Officials say the event will premiere Friday, Aug. 20, 2027. The full 2027 NASCAR schedule will be announced at a later date.
