The California women’s tennis team will spend most of the fall season in its home state with multiple chances to qualify for the NCAA singles and doubles championships, according to the Golden Bears’ schedule that was announced Tuesday.

Cal, which advanced to the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament, opens the season Sept. 18-27 at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. with singles and doubles berths to the NCAA Championships on the line. The Bears will play in four straight tournaments in the Bay Area, including the W50 Berkeley event at the Berkeley Tennis Club that takes place simultaneously as the ITA Championships.

Cal plays in two other ITA qualifying events during the fall – the ITA Northwest Regionals at Stanford and the ITA Sectionals in Los Angeles.

The Bears sent four singles players to the 2025 NCAA singles championships, including alumna Berta Passola Folch, who advanced to the singles final and was the national runner-up. Cal also placed one pairing in the NCAA doubles field.
