The County League First Division match at Minehead saw the visitors claim victory with a goal in each half.
Despite the Blues creating the two most promising openings in the first half, Wrington Redhill’s superior performance earned them all three points.
Cam Thompson, Minehead’s centre forward, almost put his side in the lead with a lofted left-footed lob from 25 yards, but it narrowly missed the target.
Shortly after, Mike Graddon, the man of the match, headed just wide of the post.
However, Wrington took the lead in the 44th minute.
Minehead keeper Carl Paige rushed out of his goal to challenge Jack Hutchings, but the striker managed to slide the ball into the empty net.
Blues manager Lee Todd made changes a few minutes after half-time, introducing Nathan Collins and Declan Green.
The substitutions gave Minehead more possession and purpose, but Wrington punished them with a second goal.
Cody Parslow doubled Wrington’s lead by sliding the ball home from a narrow angle.
Further substitutions saw Luke Badcock and Olly Prescott brought on as the Blues pushed for a goal.
Toby Waghorn managed to get the ball into the net, but it was ruled offside by a linesman’s flag.
Wrington continued to threaten with their own attacks, but Paige made a well-executed save to keep the score at 2-0.
Adam Jeffries was brought on for Will Singleton-Voss with 15 minutes left to play.
Minehead narrowly missed a free kick taken by Lewis Smith from nearly 30 yards out.
In the closing stages of the game, with tensions running high, Declan Green was booked for kicking the ball against an opponent’s legs.
Despite the defeat, Minehead will look to bounce back as they travel to play Imperial next Saturday.
Imperial have had a similar start to the season, recording a win, a draw, and a defeat in their first three matches.
Their superior goal difference sees them in sixth place in the table, with the Blues in eighth.
