DELANO — Tarya Mithun scored two wins for the Brainerd Warriors at No. 1 singles as they lost to the Delano Tigers 5-2 and the Monticello Magic 4-3 in a triangular Thursday, Aug. 27, in Delano.
Jaida Holst recorded a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles in the loss to Delano. Rachel Rankin-Abby Isaacson at No. 1 doubles and Clara Rankin-Piper Grillo at No. 2 doubles tallied wins in the Monticello loss.
Hope Doty played singles in both matches and lost. Violet Anderson played at No. 4 singles against Delano and Annie Stimac played No. 3 singles against Monticello.
Stimac paired with Aleea Holst against Delano at No. 3 doubles. Aleea Holst played with Anderson at No. 3 doubles against Monticello.
Liz Czech won the extra doubles match with Macy Bologa and Ari Simota against Monticello.
Brainerd falls to 1-2 and hosts its home opener against Buffalo and Minneapolis Southwest Saturday, Aug. 29. The Warriors open their Central Lakes Conference schedule on the road against Fergus Falls on Tuesday, Aug. 31.
