Lorenzo Musetti, who missed the French Open and Wimbledon with a leg injury, is set to make his comeback at the 2026 US Open. The main draw runs from Sunday to September 13 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
The 24-year-old Italian is currently ranked No 14 in the ATP singles rankings, having reached a career-high No 5 after finishing as runner-up at the Hong Kong Tennis Open in January.

Born on 3 March 2002 in Tuscany, Italy, Lorenzo Musetti is the son of a marble producer and a secretary. He started playing tennis at age four, and at eight, he met coach Simone Tartarini, who has since shaped him into a world-class player known for his bold, high-risk shots.
“A really important turning point came when Lorenzo was 14,” Tartarini told the ATP last year. “That’s when I made the decision to invest in him professionally and financially. I left my tennis club and started travelling the world with him to help him grow.”
