The ratings are out for the new NBA2K and it’s safe to say that they’ve caused some controversy.

The hype around NBA 2K27 is hitting a whole new level ahead of its official release on September 4, especially as 2K Sports starts trickling out those initial player ratings.

While rating reveals always spark heated debates, this year’s drop is hitting different because of the massive focus on the WNBA side of the game. With women’s basketball bigger than ever, fans are obsessively tracking Caitlin Clark’s digital avatar and taking a closer look at her stats.

After all, NBA 2K27 is introducing female MyPLAYER builds to the online City mode for the first time in franchise history, so we may see some copycats.

Caitlin Clark is one of the most recognisable faces in the WNBA, but which NBA star would you compare her to?

In terms of play style and profile

Chet Holmgren has less strength than Caitlin Clark on NBA2K27

It’s safe to say that Oklahoma Thunder center Chet Holmgren wasn’t too happy about his strength rating on NBA 2K27, as he’s been given a 45.

And to put it into comparison, WNBA star Caitlin Clark has been given a strength rating of 59.

Of course, it’s all about perspective, with Clark a 59 in the women’s game, but it does seem crazy for Clark even in the WNBA to have more strength than a center in the NBA.

Fans generally agreed too:

One fan said: “The disrespect. Dude be dunking blocking and everything.”

Another came up with a humored reason: “She’s carrying the whole WNBA on her back.”

“That’s gotta be AI.” One fan said.

This supporter said it’s “not possible.”

“They’ve done Chet dirty here.” A sorry fan said.

On NBA 2K27, Clark has an Overall 2K Rating of 96 with a 2-Way Playmaking Creator Build. As well as this, she has a total of 22 Badges, in which five of them are Hall of Fame Level.
